I recently upgraded to Windows 10 on my Microsoft Surface 3. When I try to add the printer under “Add Printer” in Excel or Word I get a message that says “Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable,” and my only option is to press ‘Ok’ active directory domain services free for windows 10 continue. Thanks for your feedback. It cannot detect a problem either. Using the help option on the printer itself I was able to obtain the hostname of the device. When I type that into the Add a Printer Wizard it thinks about it for a active directory domain services free for windows 10, tells me the driver for that printer is already installed, asks me if I want to use that driver or a different one, then, when I choose an option it tells me it cannot install the printer.
