Sorry Jason, I was waiting for an email response from tsantee and when I saw the response to you original question I was looking for something else I found your email in my Junk box!
With tsantee’s assurance “I wouldn’t worry about copyright because it requires a license code to install. I’ll look to see if I still have a Toast 10 Blu-ray plugin installer. I don’t know any way to get one other than from another user who saved the installer. I don’t know if I have it. I actually can’t use 11 because I am on an old PPC. This got more complicated that I thought it would, haha. I’ll look to see if I have in on a back up disc somewhere.
But it isn’t on any of my hard drives. If you have a copy of Toast 10 that you backed up before reformatting your hard drive, try copying it back to your Applications folder. It may be that it will show the Blu-ray features as active. I had just installed it. I had backed up the whole application but not that plugin apparently which is NOT like me at all.

I know you already had a copy but I don’t want to post it here as it might infringe on copywrite if someone who hasn’t bought it gets it for free. I wouldn’t worry about copyright because it requires a license code to install. I don’t think the plugin is actually a plugin. I think the installer merely unlocks those options in the Toast application. That’s why I wondered if copying the previously installed Toast 10 back to the Mac might also retain the full capability. I’ll have some time today to look around some more. I may be wrong about this. When I installed Toast 11’s Blu-ray plugin it removed that capability from my copy of Toast So there may be something in a library somewhere.

Could not find a reason for no more crashes but then once it stopped crashing it also did not back up my camera files as advertised. Still trying to figure that out. On the positive side, once you share your iMovie for a media browser Toast does produce a good quality disk image if you need one of those old fashion DVDs.
It does copy and data disks. Have not tried convert yet. I gave it a three star rating because of the measly warranty and the archive issue. Therefore my mileage may vary from other users. The Mac download from Amazon worked just fine. Installation went smoothly and when it concluded I configured the software to communicate with my Tivo. Transfers have worked fine. I’ve moved quite a few movies and confirmed that I can play them. The only disappointment I’ve had is that the transfers take forever.
Usually a bit over an hour. I’ve gotten around this by queuing the transfers when I’m not using the computer. Otherwise I’m happy with the purchase. I bought this software to overcome the limitations of creating Blu ray discs on my Mac. I downloaded it, installed it and prepared to create my first Blu ray, only for a pop up disc warning me that i need a plugin to create HD media.
I refuse to pay more for something that is advertised as being a basic function of the software i already paid for. It’s like buying a car and upon delivery finding you have to pay extra for a steering wheel. Update: I called Roxio Customer service and complained about false advertising.
I haven’t had a chance to test the blu ray burning abilities of the software yet, but I’m adding a star to my one star review for having helpful customer service. I’d gotten this software as I was planning on setting up a new TiVo and wanted to find a way to transfer shows from one to the other using my Mac as an intermediary. Well, some of the shows made it to my Mac but none of them seem to want to go to the new TiVo.
I’m slightly annoyed that you can do something like this on Windows for free but you have to pay to do it with Apple products. One person found this helpful. The, dazzle, program I got seems to be a little bit more self-explanatory. But after a while I found out how it works. I got it for my year-old dad.
